Tinderbox 11.0.1 – Store and organize your notes, ideas, and plans

Tinderbox is a personal content management assistant. It stores your notes, ideas, and plans. It can help you organize and understand them. And Tinderbox helps you share ideas through Web journals and Web logs.

Tinderbox’s agents automatically scan your notes, looking for patterns and building relationships. Agents help discover relationships and help make sure important things don’t get lost. Agents are easy to make and easy to modify. They’re flexible and powerful.

Tinderbox can even gather and update changing information and breaking news from the internet.

When it’s time to share your notes, Tinderbox can assemble multiple notes into one page. Updates are a breeze — even if you update several times a day. Private notes, timestamps, permanent links, archives: everything you want, just the way you want it.

WHAT’S NEW

Version 11.0.1:

AI

• The MCP server now regards trying to assign a value to an undefined attribute as an error, with an error message suggesting how to create a new attribute. This is an interesting case in user interface design where the user is a machine.

Import

• BibTeX, a common bibliographic format, is now recognized when pasting into the view pane, or dragging .bib files into Tinderbox.
• $ReferenceRIS is now deprecated and renamed $ReferenceData.

Table View

• The font size in TableView is now adjustable.

Actions

• The split() operator always split at emoji, which is not correct behavior.

Help

• Revised Tinderbox Help to provide correct path to claude_desktop_config.json.

Infrastructure

• Addressed a crash when switching map views with open auto delete timers.
• Addressed a formatting error in Tinderbox News.
• Modified document closing to remove an ugly delayed-execution block. This should reduce crashes on quit.
